Choose Words Carefully

August 27, 2013

A conversation with a friend this afternoon led me to reflect on the importance of choosing words carefully. As I writer, I have tried and am increasingly learning to be more careful in my choice, order and number of words. Likewise, as an educator this skill is vital. Yet choosing your words carefully (obviously) applies to every aspect of life – vocational, social, interpersonal, and spiritual. The conflicts of any given day, personal and organizational, individual and corporate, happen because words are not chosen carefully or are used carelessly. So today, use your words carefully, to build up rather than destroy.
